As one of high-density storage racks, shuttle pallet racking system uses a shuttle with an electric motor to run along support rails within storage channels, loading and unloading pallet load. It is suitable for storage of items with small varieties and large quantity. One pallet weight is from 500 kg to 1500 kg. Pallet load weight 1200 kg is widely used.
Advantages
1 High density storage, one channel could be as long as 50 meters and it has better storage capacity among the high-density storage racks;
2 Pallet could be FIFO (first-in, first-out), or FILO (first-in, last-out);
3 Cost effective. Compared with other high-density storage rack, such as gravity-flow pallet rack, the cost per pallet position is better.
4 Cold room storage applicable. When used for cold room storage, it will save a lot of space compared with common pallet racks.
